GITOBU IMANYARA says UHURU/ RUTO are returning Kenya to the dark days of KANU

Former Imenti Central MP, Gitobu Imanyara, has
said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his
Deputy , William Ruto, are taking the
country back to dark old day s when
opposition leaders were seen as enemies
of the state.
Reacting to Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo’s statement on
Tuesday on the ban of political rallies, Imanyara, who is a senior CORD leader,
said he will not allow the country to return to dark day s when opposition
leaders were treated as dissidents.
This is what Imanyara said...
“In a return to the dark past Kenya Police outlaws political rallies &
demonstrations until further notice,”
On Tuesday afternoon, the police boss banned all political rallies and
demonstrations until further notice.
The police boss said the ban is in line with the Public Order Act, chapter 56 of
the Laws of Kenya.
“I have cancelled all political parties rallies until further notice due to
security reasons” Kimaiyo said
"Criminals may take advantage of such gatherings," Kimaiyo added.
However, CORD leaders have vowed to go on with their rallies beginning from
the one on Saturday despite Kimaiyo’s ban.
