Forget KABURA, WAIGURU’s employee, WANGECI, drops shocker! She looted 12 billion

The ongoing multi­ million theft scandal that has rocked the National Youth Service (NYS) with embattled former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru, at the center of it, has taken another twist.
This is after another employee came forward and dropped a bombshell regarding the looting at NYS when Anne Waiguru was in charge. Jane Wangeci, the Supply Chain Management Assistant at NYS, revealed that the sh 791 million being peddled in the media was nothing compared to what Waiguru and her fellow thieves stole. She said the sh 791 million was just a tip of the iceberg because the actual money that was looted from NYS runs into billions of shillings. For instance, Wangeci said Waiguru hired people not employed directly by the Government to oversee the upgrading of Kibera and paid them millions of shillings. Besides, all the goods procured were constantly inflated. Her story was corroborated by a Finance Officer at NYS who said billions of shillings were lost through unauthorized payments on Waiguru’s directive. The finance official estimated the actual amount lost at NYS through underhand dealings involving Anne Waiguru to be around sh 12 billion.
