Leader of
Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale has
launched scathing attacks at former Devolution
Cabinet Secretary, Miss Anne Waiguru, after she
linked him to the Sh 791 million National Youth
Service (NYS) scandal.
Addressing a Press Conference at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday, Duale,
who is also the Garissa Township MP, said Waiguru's claims are unfortunate
and vowed to sue her for defaming his name.
Duale said Waiguru is a thief and should be rotting in Kamiti Maximum Prison
if police follow what Josephine Kabura Irungu claimed in her affidavit.
Anne Waiguru stoked controversy on Monday after she sensationally linked
Duale and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, to the NYS
scandal.
Duale said Waiguru must explain the money delivered in basements of city
buildings for her relatives to collect and urged her to stop soiling his name.
“Waiguru must explain the money delivered in basements of city buildings for
her relatives to collect,” Duale said in reference to Josephine Kabura’s affidavit
who claimed Waiguru used to siphon NYS money using her sister, Loise Nyamu Mbarire.
“Waiguru you belong to Kamiti maximum prison. Whether your friends are in
the highest office...You have touched a live wire,” Duale added.
