The prime
suspect in the theft of sh 791 million from the
National Youth Service (NYS), Josephine
Kabura, appeared before the Ethics and AntiCorruption
Commission (EACC) yesterday to
shed more light on the grand scam that shocked
the entire country.
Kabura arrived at EACC offices at 10 am accompanied by her lawyer, Dennis Mosota, and was grilled for close to 10 hours.
At first, there was a standoff after she handed the investigative officers a 112
point affidavit she had sworn earlier on and said she would stand by it and will
not divulge any further information.
However, the officers pushed her to the wall demanding clarification on each
and every point in the affidavit, and she did not disappoint afterwards as she
revealed everything.
She clarified everything in the affidavit and even brought out new details
implicating Anne Waiguru further.
