FRESH ATTACKS see FIVE PEOPLE KILLED on Monday night at Witu,34KM from Mpeketoni.

Just barely two weeks from the Mpeketoni attack and a few days after the Wajir clashes, at least five people have been reported dead in Witu,Lamu west on Monday night. According to the area chief Kaviha Charo Karisa, a group of armed bandits raided Taa village in Pandanguo area of Moa Sub-location, an area dominated by small-scale farmers from diverse ethnic backgrounds,killing 5 people and leaving others with injuries.

Addressing this issue, Steven Ikua, Lamu County Commisioner said an emergrncy security meeting has been called to asses the situation and find a way forwed as soon as possible.
