RAILA should let RUTO to be jailed, he should not set foot at the ICC – LUO Nyanza warns
Even as
former Prime Minister Raila Odinga
prepares to travel to The Hague to testify in
favour of Deputy President William Ruto at
the International Criminal Court (ICC),
some dissenting voices have emerged from
Kisumu warning him never to set foot at
The Haguebased court to save his
comradeturned foe.
Speaking yesterday, a section of politicians from Kisumu, led by Nyalenda MCA
Jackton Onunga, warned Raila Odinga to let the Deputy President carry his own
cross, and if possible, jailed for committing serious crimes on earth.
Onunga noted that Ruto’s crimes against humanity at ICC had nothing to do
with ODM to warrant Raila Odinga to testify in his favour and as such the former
PM should let him roast alone because he did not help him to kill innocent
Kenyans in Rift Valley.
Besides, Raila Odinga was not listed as a witness and therefore he should not
bother himself.
On his part, the Kisumu County Assembly Chief Whip, Isaiah Onyango, asked
Ruto to face Raila Odinga on the matter as well as apologize to him for claiming
that he fixed him at The Hague.
