When Uhuru accepted the offer for dialogue, he was telling his deputy that he (Uhuru) has the last word, and can over-rule his deputy anytime. But, when he said there shall be no 'Nusu Mkate', his target was not R.H. Raila Odinga, or theCORD Coalition. His target was actually the URP Brigade. The latter have been yapping about being short-changed on state appts, yet they had a pre-election 50-50 agreement. The president was telling them, to their faces, that ''hakuna nusu mkate hapa. What i say goes''. Uhuru knew perfectly well that most of us would conclude he was referring to Raila Odinga and the CORD Brigade.....Uhuru executed a cool professional foul on URP, but many of us think he was referring to CORD. The man managed to hit 3 birds with one stone!Any right-thinking analyst knows that there is no provision in the new constitution for a Coalition arrangement. So, why would CORD expect to be assimilated into government? Under what circumstances would that even be possible??? Furthermore, CORD has not even imagined it! Who wants to be part of a titanic/sinking ship!? All that CORD need is a dialog for the sake of the great people of Kenya. There's no space or remote possibility of a Coalition arrangement! You need to get into that man's head, in order to understand his every move. Uhuru is too sharp for people like Ruto. Ruto, in his eternal stupidity, still has no clue that both remarks were targeted at him and his party.
Uhuru told off those who have been criticizing his government demanding for a 50% share of government to stop being abusive and instead focus on nation building. Who has been demanding for 50% !?Is it CORD or URP ?
The president at the same time confirmed he was impressed by CORD leader’s call fornational dialogue and said he will act accordingly to ensure Raila’s ideas are taken into account in solving the many problems facing country.
Now there you have it. URP,accept and move on.
