Kenyan Premier League Kicks Off Despite Court Order

The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) kicks off today despite the court order sent to media houses by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) late on Friday 20 February. This comes after talks between the two bodies collapsed.

In the court order, the federation sought to stop the start of the 2015 KPL season but the KPL CEO Jack Oguda confirmed that the league management  was not informed has so far not been served and as such the matches are still on as scheduled.
In today’s fixtures:  Gor Mahia host Mathare United at City Stadium, Ulinzi Stars host Sony Sugar at Afraha Stadium, KCB play Western Stima at City Stadium and Thika United host Tusker at Thika Municipal Stadium.
On Sunday, AFC Leopards play Chemelil Sugar at Afraha Stadium, Sofapaka play   Ushuru FC (formerly Kenya Revenue Authority) and Bandari FC host Muhoroni Youth at Mbaraki Stadium.
